German Book Office (GBO) New Delhi
Since February 2008 the German Book Office New Delhi has begun its operations.
Besides promoting German literature and books in the region, the office will act as a contact and information point for South Asian and German as well as international publishers wanting to work together. It will also offer various services for and to Indian as well international book industries.
As part of the Frankfurt Book Fair, the office will aid the publishers from the Indian sub-continent with any information and help regarding the Fair as well as contacts to the German publishers. Inversely it will also provide a wide range of services and information regarding the South Asian book market and the publishing scenario, especially for German publishers wanting to either enter the market or collaborate with local publishers. If you are an interested publisher, we can help you with the following:
- Looking for relevant information and contacts to Indian publishers, distributors, printers?
- Would you like to know more about the German and/or Indian book market and any possibilities of collaboration?
- Looking for suitable translators for German to English or other regional languages as well as access to translation funding?
